At age 6, Jeffrey began kindergarten at Comanche Elementary School. He also began competing in the 3 hp beginner class of go-karts at Cowtown Speedway. His intelligence and desire to win has made him successful at both.
School and Home Life
With two older brothers racing, a younger brother playing sports, and Jeffrey participating in both, he and his parents stay incredibly busy. Jeffrey, his three brothers and their parents approach all their activities as a family.
Jeffrey is an excellent student who makes good grades and is well liked by his teachers and peers. He participates in baseball, basketball, and soccer and enjoys competing in all types of team sports. Jeffrey also likes raising and showing pigs in various livestock shows across North Texas.
For fun, Jeffrey enjoys paint balling with his brothers and spending time at the lake. He particularly likes tubing behind the boat. Riding motorcycles and four wheelers are also part of his outdoor adventures.
The Race Track
Jeffrey was 6 years old when he began racing at Cowtown Speedway Go-Karts in Kennedale, Texas. After about three races Jeffrey found his marks and has been a fierce competitor ever since. With a used quarter midget chassis, and a new skin the red #38 kart was near the front at most every race. Jeffrey had 14 feature wins in his first season in the 3 hp beginner class and finished 3rd in track points. Missed races to allow his older brothers to race across the country, prevented Jeffrey from winning the championship in his division.
In 2006, Jeffrey is competing in the 5 hp under 11 stock class and in the 3 hp advanced class at Cowtown Speedway. He drives the #38 car in the 5 hp \class and his brothers #87 car in the 3 hp advanced class. He is well on his way to a very successful season with several feature wins to date.
2006 Finished 2nd in points in the 5 hp under 11 stock class at Cowtown Speedway, Kennedale, Texas while finishing in the top 10 in the 3 hp advanced class of go-karts at the same venue.
2006-2007 Winters Series at Texas Motor Speedway, Ft. Worth, Texas, Jeffrey finished 6th in points despite missing 3 races due to Pee Wee Basketball games.
In Closing
Jeffrey has grown up at racetracks his entire life. He has been very observant while watching others race over the years, which has given him an innate ability to make quick and accurate judgments on the track. Jeffrey shows extreme promise as a driver and his older brothers better watch out.
